Just some news items that I ran across this morning -

Obama faces a cold war threat and a warning from Isreal

Unity I – Although they spoke of reaching across the aisle to get things done, of the Unity that they will bring to the country Obama’s party is looking to punish Liberman for his support of John McCain.

Unity II – Rahm Emanuel is picked as Obamas Chief of Staff.   “In offering the White House post to Emanuel, Obama turned to a fellow Chicago politician with a far different style from his own, a man known for his bluntness as well as his single-minded determination.” 

• Emanuel served on the Board of Directors for Freddie Mac 2002 – 2004.  During the time Emanuel spent on the board, Freddie Mac was plagued with scandal involving campaign contributions and accounting irregularities.
• Emanuel has voted with Obamas democratic party 98.5% of the time

Is this going to be Obamas first test – Putin may return to Kremlin.  I don’t think that Putin is a unicorn and butterfly type of person and will blow through any wishy washy administration
