I was just reading an article Carl Levin (MI-Democrat) said that we will need to tax the high income earners ($200,000 – $250,000) in order to send additional troops to Afghanistan.  He said “They have done incredibly well, and I think that it’s important that we pay for it if we possibly can”.  It seems like every Senator or Congressman wants to fund new programs by taxing the rich people (Combined annual incomes greater than $250,00).
